Result of Merger, One Plus has now become the sub-brand of Oppo
As per the recent updates, it has been known that One-Plus the brand has become the sub-brand of Oppo. These are the updates that have been given by the merger of two, a leaked memo showed every detail about this. Both of the brands Oppo and One-Plus decided at present that they will not reply to any of the questions related to their plans regarding the operating systems. Apart from this they also said that they are not going to disclose whether OnePlus’ OxygenOS would merge into Oppo’s ColorOS or something opposite will happen. Oppo and One-Plus both have said that people will have to wait for some time to get answers to these questions.
The leaked memo is a set of guidelines in response to the merger that OnePlus Co-Founder and CEO Pete Lau that was announced last week. Lau says that after the positive effect from the last collaboration, one-plus decided to integrate its organization with Oppo. However, he did not provide proper updates about how the integration would work, how long will it take to get it worked anymore. Both of the company’s CEO and founder said that people will have to wait to know about exact things.
A document was leaked on Twitter by Tipster Evan Blass, the document leaked appears to be an internal memo with some talking points that can be used by the public relations department of the One-Plus company. With this integration, one-plus will now become a brand within oppo, however will continue to function as an independent entity.
OxygenOS is offered by one-plus on its new phone models whereas oppo provides ColorOS and this is something that is highly tweaked with a custom skin. However, there aren’t many changes but OnePlus earlier this year decided to replace its HydrogenOS with the Chinese version of OxygenOS—– with Oppo’s ColorOS. With the merging of both the firms, we are now going to have more models and devices. One of the best things about them will be that they are going to be interesting for use and of high quality.
